Invitational

Players that played in the previous year are extended the first invitations to play again the following year.  This is a very limited field of from ten to twelve players, so there are very few openings. Order of play is determined based on the results from the prior year.

In 2026 there are currently twelve players.

Format

All twelve players start by playing the first hole as a group and the two people with the highest score are eliminated.  If there is a tie for the high score, all players with the high score have a chip off to determine who is eliminated.  So there is no confusion, a player must be on the green to qualify in the chip off.  If all contestants miss the green, all players re-hit from the original spot. The players that are furthest away are eliminated.

Once the two players are eliminated, the remaining ten golfers proceed to the next hole (skipping and holding hands of course) and going forward, one player is eliminated each hole.  This goes through the last hole where there will be two golfers playing for the championship.  If there is not an outright winner on the final hole, they continue to re-play that hole until it is won outright.  This is usually hole #18 but is subject to change.
