Invitational

Players that played in the previous year are extended the first invitations to play again the following year.  This is a very limited field of eleven players so there are very few openings.  If there are openings, prior winners of the event are given the  first chance to get back into the tournament if they did not play the previous year.

Format

​All eleven players start by playing the first hole as a group and the person with the highest score is eliminated from the tournament.  If there is a tie for the high score, those players with the high score have a chip off to determine who is eliminated.  So there is no confusion, a player must be on the green to qualify in the chip off and, if all contestants are off the green, all players re-hit from the original spot.  Once a player is eliminated, the remaining ten golfers proceed to the next hole (skipping and holding hands of course) and, once again, the golfer with the highest score is eliminated in the same format on the next hole.  This format continues through the last hole with the final two golfers playing for the championship.  If there is not an outright winner on the final hole, the final two players continue to play that hole until it is won outright.
